Default GPS Wisepilot and 9930

So, in today's smartphone world a absolute requirement is Turn by Turn voice navigation with a map (it should also automatically re-route). It must also not require a monthly fee in my opinion. With all that said...

Have people tried out Wisepilot on the 9930? This app looks good and has an option to pay a lifetime fee.

Also, has anyone tried out the Garmin App? I am hoping to get some positive feedback here, otherwise my return to the BlackBerry won't happen (I am on Droid X right now).

Yes, I tried Wise Pilot a while back, and it's the best turn-by-turn nav available for BB, imo. Simply, it just works, closet thing to Android's navigation. Worth the price if you intend to use it pretty frequently.

Thanks for the info! I wish they did more marketing on this app. If it truly is as good as Garmin or VZNavigator then more of the community should broadcast about it. The lifetime price for just the Navigation is reasonable. More so than Garmin!

Can anyone else second this opinion of wisepilot?

I tried getting it working on the 9930 simulator and could not.... Should this app work on the 9930 even though on their website says it will work for the 9900? And then the entry up on the BlackBerry App world says it is compatible for the 9900.... I am just concerned for compatibility!

I am excited as this app looks like a good replacement for google navigation! Perhaps I will be able to come back to BlackBerry!

I use wisepilot on my 9900 and it works fine ... beside the menu is a little bit sluggish and not as fluent.
Beside that, the app offers all you want from a navigator. But some service require additional payment ... like speed camara warning or live traffic and such.

There is one thing i noticed about it, when i restart my phone this app is always in the app tray like it starts automatic when starting ur phone ... but not sure it is draw any resources.

Also the app offers a 5 day trial with most features.

I have done some BlackBerry development.... They did that so when it goes into the background... Although they did not need an auto start and they could of added a real exit.
I doubt it is using much in the way of resources.
I guess if nobody with a 9930 I will test it out at the store!
