Default GPS Transmitter

I apologize in advance if this has been asked...but ...

We have an employee we suspect is not doing his job when out on the road. Making stops he shouldn't be..etc...

Before we purchase a GPS transmitter, I was wondering if the Blackberry Torch has that function built in or if something can be purchased for it to transmit location.

Thanks everyone.

Check out Blackberry protect in app world. It's free and can locate your device as long as the employee keeps it on.

Thank you!

Any experience with Blackberry protect in app world? Once it's installed is it always running? If he resets the Berry (reboot), does the app have to be run in order for us track it?

Thanks again for the suggestions!

Blackberry Protect will always be available even after rebooting the phone. I have my phone reboot at least once a week and all is well. There are a couple of other apps that I like better for what you are looking for. When you send the phone an email, it will show you where the phone is.

This is the one I'd use. It's $5, but worth it I think. https://appworld.blackberry.com/webs...t/4672?lang=en

I'd recommend BB protect too but you'll need to create a BB account to use to login and track locations. The employee could always turn it off if they suspect.

You can also use Google Lattitude if it has Google maps. Same a BB though, the user could "log off" and turn off the tracking.

Bear in mind, that either way would also track the person on their time off and could constitute a privacy issue (IANAL)
