Google Maps or BlackBerry built in maps?

for what region ? Seems like Indonesia so maybe Telenav has a solution for you but its not free

Yupe, between Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur. I'm looking at more of a comparison between these 2. Google Maps seems to be more up to date but the GPS navigation is not that good.

I'm on .668 and I find the GPS satellite locking is way slow... does that also explain why .668 version have an excellent battery life?

If GPS locking is taking a long time, your Radio is working harder meaning using more battery energy. How does that improve battery life?

Moreover, GPS locking has more to do with clear sky/atmosphere etc so the time it takes would be a relative issue. Personally I am waiting for Garmin to come out with the os 7 compatible maps which they said would also work nicely with os 6. I find Garmin's turn-by-turn excellent for my use. Yes, its a paid software.
