GPS fails with os 6?

Hi!

When I had OS5 on my bb 9300, Google Maps was accurate to 2m and quickly updated position, etc. But as soon as I updated, it says it's accurate to 5000m and sometimes a message saying 'GPS not available' shows up. Anyone experienced the same issue?

It depends upon your location - if you're indoors and you have location-aiding turned-on, the app will report you at the nearest cell tower (hence the 5000m bit) and then after the initial lock-on (about 30sec), it should get you to within a few metres.

Check your GPS/Location settings and ensure that you're near a window

Mine works fine and I'm on os6, does ur bbm maps do the same or is that ok? Is it the official update u used or a leaked from this site? Cos sometimes they got bugs off here x

It happened with BB maps too but after a couple battery pulls it was accurate to 20m again. It seems that every bb issue can be solved with this simple procedure.. I'm using one of the official OS6 versions posted here, I believe it's .461. Thabks guys :>
