This is old news. Go into your camera, Options and check your Geotagging setting.

If you really want to freak out, go search your own name on spokeo.com

+1. Although I realize not everyone gas the time or desire to search the web all day for stuff like this. Maybe some company like lifelock will end up selling an app that automatically "kid proofs" any device.

Lifelock doesn't do anything you can't do yourself for free. Don't believe the hype.

Geotagging isn't always evil, you just need to be aware.

I'm not saying they do. Just saying there is a commercial opportunity to be seized. Lots of people don't have the time/knowledge to protect themselves but the can afford to pay someone else to do it for them.

You're going to PAY for an app that unchecks the geotagging feature under Camera Options??? How many times are you going to run that app?

Wow, you're dense. An app could potentially manage many aspects of the phone to help insure privacy. Even if it did only uncheck geotagging I bet people would buy it though. Consumers are largely uninformed.
