Does BB Maps update its maps?

Google Maps is way more recent with the updates than BB Maps. I always find myself driving in the middle of no where with BB Maps while that never happens with Google Maps.

So my question is, does BB Maps update on the fly? Or do I need to do something special to update the maps itself?

I would assume RIM updates their servers periodically. Maps don't reside on your BB - they download upon request for wherever you are. So, you should always have whatever RIM has current on their server showing up on your screen.

Google Maps does the same thing, although they may update their maps more frequently.
