Default Using a variety of Power Cords...

Hello, I'm just curious how using different chargers effects your blackberry as well as other blue tooth peripherals. I use the standard blackberry charger for my phone, but was wondering if I could use it to charge other mini usb devices. I looked at the charger that came with my blootooth headset and keychain gps and the only difference is the input and output amperage. Will this simply mean that if i use my bluetooth headset charger to charge my blackberry which has a output of .2A versus the standard charger of .7A will simply take longer? I imagine this is the case, but will it have any damaging effects to the battery? Also, will the standard charger of .7A damage the bluetooth headset which has an input of .2A? I do notice sometimes when I use the bluetooth charger on my phone, after pulling out the charger, the charging icon near the battery display seems to stay on, which leads me to believe that it might be messing something up.

If there is that big of a difference in the chargers, you should use what is standard for the device. I have heard of people using a non-standard charger with their BB and it killed their battery.

I agree with sunkast. only use the device specific charger. I have destroyed batteries with chargers that "look" like they are the same as the original charger. this is especially true with car chargers.
