You should learn to theme and at least make us a replica of your dream of 8
I'm not sure how CB feels about us "advertising" other sites here, but a few fairly popular (and not warez spreading) ones are BerryReview, BlackBerryEmpire, and Pinstack.
We'd love to have you post on OSBB (www.opensourceBB.com) as well

Very impressive. OS 8 looks very clean, sharp, modern, redesigned from top to bottom. Here's an idea: give this sample to a theme developer and make some money off this idea. Cause I'd buy this theme

I really do like this OS with a few small caveats. I am not including them as criticism but things that I would like noted.

1. All the same information showing up at the top no matter which app I am in? I like that, for the most part. But I would like the opportunity to toggle it on or off, because sometimes I don't want to see it the whole time I am using an app, but I would like to be able to check it while using the app. I'm not 100% sure it is possible, but it might be something to think about.

2. I really like the concept of the BlackBerry documents. I just have one concern. I don't want my documents automatically stored on the web. I would much prefer the web-storage to be optional, so it would be my choice to use the BlackBerry site, a Google docs site, Dropbox, or mailing it to my computer.

3. Your OS seems to be geared towards touchscreens. Would you have a non-touchscreen OS for those who prefer the trackpad/keyboard experience?

These aside, I am seriously impressed. I pretty much agree with the other posters. You've got a talent. Nurture it, use it.

I think the best one was "Quick actions". I wish you could copyright that element... You could pay you way through prom and college with the royalties

Thanks for bringing that point. I have been doing some research and found out that everything original you do is copyrighted, I have added the © symbol to make it more clear. I also have sent an e-mail to the U.S. Copyright Office to see how to copyright the idea/functionality/anything that is copyrightable .

LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did with this by the way. Gotta get this to spread like wildfire and shed some light to RIM.

PS. I like how you put "student" as your carrier haha did you just take the word "carrier" too literally or was it supposed to be a joke?

Got some GREAT talent kid, keep it up

Please tell me if you like the design, also what else would you add or change from the current version.
If you want (and I would love it) you can share this on facebook, and twitter =) and maybe we will get RIM to implement these futures/design.

I designed the App World, it is not in its final stage so your feedback is welcome!
I would do everything possible to find as many investors as you could (angel investors) and purchase RIM right now and build this OS. Hire excellent and excellent CEO and staff - this needs to happen. Simply spectacular work. Fantastic job!!!!!

I would like an option - Still needs work. otherwise, i'd click no for now. (I decided not to vote at all because no is too harsh)

I don't like your homescreen. it'll become to cluttered. maybe a pane for view all open apps and widgets, something that you see on the new nokia n9. Also we don't need 18 billion panels... 3 would suffice. I think rim were right in how they managed their categories but we just need more control over them.

I like your documents and quick actions has potential but it would really come down to using certain words to allow actions to dictate what you're talking about otherwise you're just going to have stuff wanting to action all the time cluttering up the screen. Universal search works well enough for me to click on a program and then start using its features in full.

I think the camera app certainly needs more filters to please everyone who has fallen in love with those on iphones. Though I see on app world now that you can pay for those features. I'd love something like instagram built right into blackberry. where you can upload and share to family and friends for free - could link into bbm as far as I'm concerned.

Quite like the swiping up action of and seeing the playlist of songs form the current artist album. something that I love about my cowon mp3 player.

Don't we already get context menus or am I interpreting your concept wrong?

dislike your app world. so you have one way of searching by going across and then another for going down. I'd rather you keep the horizontal slide bits. have a category section and a way to bring up a summary/rating/in-app payments

Gahhhh couldn't a simple "OP" just do in place of quoting all of the pictures..?

@zensen
Thank you for your feedback.
Now, there are somethings you did not get that gave you a wrong impression.
What I am showing here is a mockup, in the home-screen I do not know how many panels someone will have, I could have put only 3 but that does not make a difference in terms of design. If you use categories then you cannot use widgets.

About BlackBerry Documents, your idea of speech-to-text was something I already had in mind but in no way it will replace the buttons, try using speech-to-text in the street or somewhere noisy.

About the camera app, I do not think there is any app with comparable quality.

Finally, the App World, the preview was confusing but the apps shown in the cover-flow will be actually different, I have updated the app and will upload the new image shortly.
