Default OS 8: Our Vision

Go to Youtube to Watch The Video!
‪BlackBerry OS 8 Vision‬‏ - YouTube

You can also download the high quality swf. animation:
AnimationFinal_secure.swf

I have been working on my vision of OS 8. In my view, OS 8 will be much more consistent in terms of design, it will have a more simple and modern look with less menus in menus. New design elements will be added to make navigation easier and better.
Please tell me if you like the design, also what else would you add or change from the current version.
If you want you can share this on Facebook, and Twitter.
Please do not copy any ideas, concepts or apps from what has been displayed here. Contact me first.

I like your style bud. Keep it up, maybe RIM will call on you one
day for your fresh thoughts to complement theirs.

Very nice job. Too bad we can't do all that through a theme...

That is just wonderful. Can we get RIM to build IR into the phone. That would be sweet (yeah, I know of the aftermarket products for it, they suck)

Also, I would like OS8 to be fully location aware/baked into the OS.

Keep up the good work.

I hope os 8 gets angry birds. I think it would increase their market share if it did.

Nice work Bongs! RIM should hire you because this would add a lot. We just need to see it in motion. It has some Android touches too. But those are the parts of Android I appreciate.

If I were RIM I would hire you, Hands down! This should have been OS 7. It would have been worth the wait if it was!

This is why RIM is failing, a 16 year old with no college degree of any kind can design a far better UI then rim. By the way very nice dude, still has a Blackberry feel to it so i wouldn't say redesigned from the scratch, well you did say remastered so i guess thats what it is. but certainly is what rim needs. My only comment is that the reflections of the album art and stuff, need to be more faded, they clash together with actual art. and same with the play button and stuff.
Edit: feels like android if it was made by RIM

Out of the mouth of babes.... Well done dude! That is a slick interpretation. Now all we need to do is replace the burnt out os design teams up in waterloo, or wherever they're hiding, with your free thinking mind and we just might be able to save RIM after all.
