how long do attachments stay on (BIS) server?

I noticed that I can't open my attachments from 2 weeks ago but I can open one from 3 days ago. Anyone know how long the attachment stays on RIM's servers (I use BIS if that helps with the answer)?

I think it depends on message setting in your phone. If you set the phone to keep messages forever, then the attachments will always be retrievable.
