Default Got message to update password....email not working!

Ok, so this morning I got a message on my phone from donotreply@blackberry.com telling me that I need to update my password for my hotmail email account. It says that emails from that email address are not being sent, and to resume receiving them, I need to update the password in the Blackberry Internet Service. It then lists two ways to do it. I can do it through my phone with the email setup application or log onto BIS on my computer and click edit next to my email address and enter my email password. I have tried BOTH of these ways numerous times and a box keeps popping up telling me that the password is invalid! I KNOW it is the right password, because I logged out of my email account and re-logged in with the same password. Can anyone help me? It's annoying not getting email on my phone!!!

Having the same issue this morning...hopefully someone wise will pop in. I see there are a couple other threads on the same thing this morning. Maybe its just a RIM glitch???

You're def not the only one, I got that msg too. I called verizon earlier and they said they're having problems with the BB network (or something to that effect). The guy said he'd call me back to troubleshoot when it's up and running again. You'll notice your internet browser won't work either.....

Same problem here...

The first time I tried to log in to the BIS website I had the same problem. I tried again and it pulled up all my email addresses with a weird icon next to my hotmail address. The legend said that the icon meant it wasn't a valid email address and to click the icon to resolve the issue. I did that and it finally brought up another window where it wanted me to type my hotmail password. I entered that, hit OK, and it came back saying my password is invalid.

Same issue here on the email.....but internet is working fine on tmo 8900.

Well, after trying to log-in to the BIS website from my PC I got all my missed emails dumped to the BB. I tried logging back into the BIS website and it went thru fine. My hotmail address is now showing as active again. Looks like the issue might be resolved???

Still not working for me...

gmail works fine, hotmail does not. I cannot access email settings on device either.

Internet on my storm is working fine, just my hotmail account.. gmail, bb, and my school email are fine though.

Me as well...internet works for me but I have gotten no emails from my Windows accts since midnight.
