charging your bb

Hi, my bb is a 8900 and I have to charge it twice a day, I really use it, all day for chating, email, taking pics and phone and my battery die fast, do any of you have this situation or I'm really abusing my bb? Does all this charging affects my bb? Thanks

About the only way charging can hurt your BlackBerry itself is if you wear out the USB connector. I don't have an 8900, but I assume it has the capability to be used with a charging pod. Some people use those to avoid all the wear and tear on the USB port.

The lithium-ion batteries in BlackBerry devices don't have the memory effect of older battery technologies, so recharging them doesn't hurt them. All batteries regardless of chemistry only have so many charge-discharge cycles before they can no longer hold a charge. Then you just buy a new battery.

Your BBs like to be fed. I have a Curve I've typically charged at least 2x a day depending on usage. Still going strong after 8 months. The worst thing you can do is drain the battery fully, Li-Ions don't like that.
