If you submit your pin and it fails, it mentions that the offer is by invitation only. In other words, if you did not get the offer from Rim, your PIN may not be in the system. I suspect they will be doing a targeted offer to users with older devices via either their BlackberryID or a PIN to the phone.

Try using old friend pins( of course ask them that you want to use it) my brother did that and it worked

Yes, it said that it was by invitation, I was just surprised I did not receive one, I have a Tour 9630. I think that is an older device, but maybe they do not consider it old enough.

I tried last night with the same outcome- Not eligible at this time. I have a Bold 9000 and I thought I would definitely be eligible for the rebate. Has anybody with an AT&T bb had any luck or received an email invitation? I am curious to see if the rebate is carrier specific for a short period.

Has anyone successfully received the promotion? I bought my 9900 in March but when I enter my PIN it says its not eligible, then I entered my 9700 pin and had the same result. I read that you have to receive an email on your old device, so I used my old 9700 for a few days but never received anything.

Does anyone know what department in RIM I can contact? Theres not much info on their website.
