I have never had my clock slow down. What happens when you delete the avatars and change back to a non-animated one? Make sure to back them up first though. Also, what BB model do you have?

My storage was full and phone was running too slow. I removed all the gif files, display pictures and few extra files too. Someone told me to do ALT L G to clear logs. I did all these things and pulled out battery to no avail. I have 8520 Curve. I have not uninstalled BBM 6.1 though. Thanks

To prevent freezing or lagging/slow response on any BlackBerry, the most important practice you can adopt is to be sure to CLOSE applications when you are finished using them.

I dont see how the avatars could have caused this. I mean I see the apps eatting up the CPU and all that but once the share has been released and the phone fuctions again the network should update the time. If i change the time on my phone the network changes it back.
So when you say its slow do you mean like it takes 3 minutes for it to change 1 minute? are you going by the time that on your watch? How much of a time differance you getting?
Have you gone into setup and set time to auto update?

Auto update did the trick. I set the time to automatic. Than you
I will have to download all avatars again from maxipage.hpage.in ....

Your welcome. Glad to hear you got it worked out. That lil 8520 is a fun device isnt it?
Just a small suggestion if you going to get into that intensive of use you might want to consider an upgrade. I love the 8520 dont get me wrong but the hardware is just a tade weak for the the things coming out now.

The new RIM CEO released this feature to slowdown time to get a more competitive product to the marketplace. Sit back and relax. You officially now have 25 hours in a day.
