I was wondering if there is an app available which is similar to the generic clock app on os7 for os6?

You need to explain yourself better. The stock clock app is the exact same between OS 6 and OS 7...

Also, that's a 9530 in your picture, which only ever got OS 5.

Ahhh that's what you're getting at!

Open clock> Hit menu button> Select "Options" the first choice is "Clock Face" select that, and choose whatever style you want.
