Default Attention users: Please update your device profile

As I often throw reminders out there to help the support side of things on the forums. The time has come again.

If you could all take a moment. It would be greatly appreciated from me and all other user providing support.

Quick Links -> Edit Your Details

With multiple devices, and new OS's for some devices it can get quite crazy doing support for users on the forums. Having a 9650 listed in your profile but asking questions about a 9930, etc can be quite confusing. Most user(s) ask in the specified device section, But things get quite crazy in the general section and a few other places.

I also will add that when making a thread for looking for device support, take a minute to list the device model in the title. This will allow us to better place threads if they are in the wrong section, while also allowing users to know right away on what device you are using and then can properly answer your question.

This will will help us and yourself on resolving an issue with what ever device you are using.

Thanks in advance!

I would also suggest that users should update their carrier. I've already given advice to a poster who had T-Mobile listed as his carrier and was asking about the 9930. It turned out he switched to VZW. My advice would have been applicable only if his carrier was T-Mobile (or AT&T).

As long as you currently have a 9300, yes.

Just did it, I have had so many phones and never updated. I have just changed my device from the curve 8320. I've had at least 5 different blackberries since then.

you're in a thread about updating your device profile... admitting you now have a 9900.. while your profile STILL says you have a 9780...

*bangs head against the wall*

Yes i did update my devices, most times the device doesn't matter, but sometimes when users need support for a specific model, with their device on file it is easier to help.

So good point to update the details
