First time ever in my life bought BlackBerry phone......the biggest thing I got mistaken that 4G version is launched for all carriers but when I bought, got shocked that mine is only 3G version as 4G is not made for mine country.....this was the first impression of BlackBerry to me which is bad....then after few days I felt that battery is draining too fast...moved service centre two times,they told its ok with Z10, again I felt that its getting overheated,again service centre personal's told its ok with Z10.....BlackBerry had provided damn good features to Z10 but....they discriminated the device by 3G and 4G version,provided less capacity of battery, installed the processor which generates overheat
As maximum numbers of todays generation is connected to internet,they are getting bad reviews of this phone and because of that no one wants to buy used device even at cheaper rates I offered....
One and last thing I wanna say that...why BlackBerry isnt doing buy back offer to Z10 users...so that they could be satisfied by buying another devices likeZ30,Z3. Atleast these two devices are better from Z10 in every aspect...

Z10 is a great device that reliably served me for two years. Mine was an STL100-2 model though.

The reason you purchased a 3G device is that 4G is not available in your country, hence why you have a 3G device.

If you purchased this device new, then you should of placed the phone on charge for a round 16/18 hours straight, (why because the battery is new and needs it) if you just charge the phone for short amounts of time, it won't last long as it's never been fully charged. Also battery drainage is also down to usage and how much you used it.

Taking your phone to a Service Centre because the battery doesn't last is stupid. The battery is a battery, they don't last forever. Also these Service Centre are nothing to do with BlackBerry and from my opinion, don't have a clue.

Last, if you wanted a BlackBerry Z10 4G enabled device, then you should of made this clear when purchasing it. Otherwise if they only sell 3G models in your county, that's what you'll get and as you feel disappointed by this device, you now want to get rid of it and believe BlackBerry should buy it back so you can have a Z30.

You purchased the device knowing what it is.

Get the high capacity battery. As far speeds/bands go you need to put in the research to figure out which ones you need and which ones the specific model you are considering offers. This is true of any brand.

The Z10 has battery issues, a well known wide spread problem. I had the same issue and sold mine. This is one of the reasons BB10 has not taken off. I now have a Classic and love it. OP, I hope you are able to get some money together and get a better device.

Z10 Battery is not so bad at all.
And you can't blame others for your own fault (if any).
Z10 is ery good phone just give it some time, Do NOT install any battery sever app and you can post screen shot which is draining your device battery.
Yes Z30 could have been better buy but still O*X/Quic*r are for your service avail them .

To most it seems that I have bought this device without researching....or I have lack of knowledge....
And who are satisfied with their Z10...they had done a deal with their minds that it is ok...and made a mindset
Whoever have asked me to buy a high capacity battery,or I m not using my device in good way..just give me a answer....
Take any apple,samsung,sony,htc phone with same specs...like Z10....they have provided min 2500 mah battery...to their phones....MIND IT I HAVE SAID SAME SPECS LIKE Z10
BlackBerry introduced first time full touch device with Z10 ...and provided 1800 mah battery from which aspect....knowing that...touch and display consumes most of the battery in smartphones
It seems that all the brands are fool that they provide high capacity battery....
And finally BlackBerry introduced high capacity battery phone Z30...just 6 to 7 months after the Z10 launched....what this means...BlackBerry realized that...Z10 was a bit of mistake....
I am a die hard fan of BlackBerry....but Z10 is my worst smartphone experience...only because of battery and heat issue......as 3G and 4G is depended on carrier so its not a issue...
Still most will say I have lack of knowledge....

Nothing is wrong with phone. Runs cool. We have no idea how old your Z10 is but, still you should convince service center for heating or battery drain.

My Z10 STL 100-1
Gives 10 -11 hrs of mix use.. in 3G not exceeded 8 hrs...If I use it continuously...max gives 6 Hrs.....leave it idle....lasted 28 Hrs....

As of reviews Z30
Gives 18-20 Hrs of mix use...13 Hrs alone for 3G...
Continuos use..12 -14 Hrs...

BlackBerry Z3(brothers phone)
Gives 20-22 hrs of mix use....16 Hrs alone for 3G
Continuos use..18-19 Hrs...leave it idle lasted 37 Hrs

As of my lack of knowledge thinking......
Z30 was correction for Z10.....people will not admit it...
And after 1 year of good response for Z30 alone....they launched Z3 a low end touch...to aquire their market share of smartphones......
As BlackBerry had lost it market....it launched passport,classic to maintain the technology of market...and to compete with others...

And for most I am wrong....Z10 is satisfying them....

Battery life: buy extended 4500mha battery - problem solved.

Z10: awesome phone. I bought two on launch day and they are still going strong today. Add 10.3.1 and it will be like new again.

You can complain, or you can fix.

Battery life on the Z10 wasn't much different than the iPhone5 that came out at the same time. My friends and I were always looking for chargers around 4 in the afternoon. BlackBerry owes me nothing.

My family members use my Z10s now, and although they are light to medium users, they get between 12 and 24 hours on the 2 year old stock battery.
