It's the law for all touchscreen devices to have this implemented!
    Should be industry standard

The most amazing thing is this: the Z10 will make and receive calls and to think it does it wirelessly!!!

NeutronMP uses the sensor to do gesture controls. Move your hand or even a finger past it once to skip ahead a track, twice to go back a track, hover your hand over it to play or pause. I wish more apps would start incorporating it. Say a reader app that you "Flick" the pages of the books or comics. Email swiping in the air up and down to change emails. The possibilities are potentially endless.

Hopefully the OP is being sarcastic and trying to make fun of T-Mobile's choice of "features" they listed on their website.

I've seen carrier websites list "Phone Book" and "Calendar" as one of the highlighted features for different smartphones...

You can see the proximity sensor flashing while In a call. It's just below the speaker

I'm glad all of you are having a good laugh at our expense. But my sensor must not be working. I have been on three different calls today and my phone has "ear dialed" other numbers or worse, hung up the phone. I'm on a Z10, just got it. And this is effing frustrating to say the least and extremely embarrassing as some of the calls were business calls.

Can anyone tell me EXACTLY where the sensor is on my Z10?
