Default z10 blackberry bridge versus playbook?!!

I have the new z10, and a PlayBook. I did have the blackberry bridge installed on both my torch and play book, and it worked brilliantly. In trying to update the PlayBook to the new z10, it no longer works!! We've deleted the apps, reloaded and re scanned but on the PlayBook the app only shows something called 'read me' - and has no content like it used to!! The messages, BBM, everything that used to be there is gone. HELP!!

from what i've heard that is normal.
Bridge on BB10 is absolutely awful when compared to BB7.1
But it probably takes time getting all that stuff to work, after all 7.1 is different to 10 completely so it is not a simple case of porting it over. Give it time and bridge should be back there again

Ah ok, here's hoping so because it made the PlayBook useful rather than just another tablet on the market! Thanks for the advice!!

Default Z10 to Playbook Bridge Cannot be done at this time

Just off the phone with support. The Z10 cannot be bridged to the playbook at this time. A fix is in the works .

That is true, so have I BUT... You can no longer use text on the PB, nor will the PB display the caller ID of an incoming call etc. No BBM either.
You can still open a picture from your Z10 to the PB, and you can still use the Z10 as a remote mouse on the PB.
    First a Storm 2, then a Torch 9800, now a Z10 and Playbook 16g
    Nicely nice!

I believe this is intentional, not a failure in function of the BB10 version of bridge.

(just what I get from reading, I have not yet been able to buy my Z10)

Default I don't have LTE I have the older playbook

Z10 operating system 10.0.9.348. Playbook OS 2.1.0.1526 wifi
Error on bridging: make sure your playbook is up to date
Wow! Was not expecting a fix that fast. Now I have to learn how to use it. Do not like the idea of having to input a password each time. They should be able to automate that process.

the bridge is one of the biggest plus to having BB and PB combo, Blackberry (Rim) isn't gonna just let that drop.

Team BlackBerry seems to take perverse pleasure by inflicting multiple miseries upon the very patient people purposefully awaiting arrival of the "taking time to get it right" smartphone. Thorsten can eat those quoted words because he spoke them in defence of the delayed release of BlackBerry 10 smartphones last year. Stick a fork in it and pass the Heinz.

But it appears they already have dropped BlackBerry Bridge by virtue of reducing its functionality between BlackBerry OS 5/6/7 and BlackBerry OS 10. As the British say, "Poor show."

It then took over a year and a half to get the current bridge os7 phones to work this well and have these options using bridge

I m NOT going down the "its coming" road again with BB10

    Tim

    Sent from my BlackBerry 9850
    Z10 STL100-4 OS: v10.1.0.2354 - Radio:v10.1.0.1917
    Playbook OS v2.1.0.1526
Why is the Z10 Bridge worse then it was on my 9850?

I really, really, really want to want to get a Z10. I've been a BB defender among all my friends and colleagues. Stuff like no Bridge, no custom LED/notifications turns off loyal long term BB users. Not having major popular apps available turns off people who might be willing to migrate. It's another month or so until it's available in the US, so I'm taking a hopeful wait and see attitude. Gotta say though, not going to wait six months or more for things that I can have today on other platforms.... and if it takes that long it'll probably be too late in the long run.

I have heard from text. Support that the fix is in the works as well. It would be nice to get some kind of a time line. Even if it is only an estimate.
