they rip off us blind for mobile in this country.
I get 20 minutes a month + 100 texts for $40
PLUS another $40 for 10g of blackberry data
plus $10 month for phone-insurance.
All up I pay a base of $90 a month (usually well over $100 because of excess minutes @ $1min) with fairly low-usage
You actually made me look at a bill detail for the first time ever lol.
$30 for the 6GB Data BB Plan
$25 for 250 anytime mins
$11 for something called the value plan?
$6.95 for something called a network access fee....
some 911 charge
tax

and

3 lines with VZW, 700 minutes and unlimited texts ($110) plus one BB package ($30) - special discount ($18) = $122/month
The discount is because a member of the family works for a corp that has some kind of agrement with Verizon, so we get 20% off the main line, which costs $90.
I am with alltel right now and I love their service. Kinda of sad to see them go I have the 1200 smartphone plan that I share with a non-smartphone
- free weekends
- free minutes @ 7pm
-insurance on both phones
- roadside assistance on both phones
-unliminted data for smartphones
-unliminted text for both phones
total----- $109 (1200 smartphone plan) + 20 for other phone
With the T-Mobile I have their unlimited calling/text plan with the unlimited blackberry internet service on it as well. Pretty much about $150.00 roughly. standard for the past couple of months. And will be throughout. Plus I have insurance on my phone as well.
The logic against the plan is, if you are using features just to use them, you are wasting your money. Pretty much though, its a good deal, because it has unlimited text/data, which those two alone equal 50 bucks a month on any service. THEN, if you were to add in a voice plan, about 40-50. So yeah 100 isnt a bad deal.
I respectfully disagree with this statement. I think it's the opposite. Sprint's Everything plans are usually giving you more than you want/need, therefore you are getting more bang for your buck! Plus, you'll eventually find the extra features come in handy or you simply start using them. It's just a great package deal. IMO quite revolutionary.
The SE plans are generally cheaper than any data + voice alternatives for other carriers. So even if you don't use all the services, as long as you use voice and data it's generally cheaper.
Also it includes sprint nav, which is $10 a month extra on verizon and most people could easily take advantage of (whether they do or not).
On the flip side Sprint sucks for new phones other than HTC and a lot of people report very poor signal strength in major areas that should be very good service...
With T-Mobile I'm paying less than $90 a month and I get:
600 Anytime Minutes
Unlimited Nights and Weekends
Unlimited Text/Picture/IM/Video Messages
Unlimited Data BlackBerry Plan (No BES, I don't need it)
Phone Insurance/Replacement
2 lines
500 shared min (we never go over cause everyone I talk to is in my circle)
Unlimited mms/text on both
Free weekends and nights starting at 7 on both
Unlimited my circle calls
Insur on my berry
Unlimited data on my ber
Mr. Rescue on both
I think that might be it but all that for 120 or 140 I can't remember what my mom pays for it lol
