How do I attach a picture so I can you show you what I'm talking about? Also, there isn't a number for the sender.

Well, in the mean time I'll tell you what's going on. I received a message with no name or number and it had that a message waiting for retrieval. Click button below to download. I click it and nothing happens. If I leave and come back the button is there again. I can repeat and the same thing happens. Also, I tried sending a mms to myself and I just received it, like 5 minutes later. Is it a virus or something, since it doesn't have a number from the sender?

I had this problem with one of the leaks I had installed. It was because some of the mms settings were not there and therefore I could not send or receive and mms pics.

Who is your carrier and what OS do you have installed?

    Via CBZ10 10.2.1.2947

Edit : it is the mmsc settings that you need for your specific carrier

I recently ran into this issue, in fact I was on the phone with my provider yesterday. After reviewing that all of my settings where correct we ended the call with the thought of doing a device wipe.

I was curious, so I took out the battery and sim, and placed the sim in my back up Z10. Did some playing around with it, than put the sim back into my Q10, booted it up and the problem resolved itself.

I'm of thought process that battery pulls are pointless on BB10 however it worked for me.

T-mobile and it's 10.2.1.2156. The guy who sold it to me says it's the official os.

    And what's mmsc?

If it is the official OS you should not be having the mmsc settings problem that we were having on the leaked OS.

Still won't hurt to check the settings though.

Go to the hub, overflow, settings, text messages, advanced and then scroll down to mmsc settings. You should have some stuff in the fields for mmsc url and proxy url. Here's my mmsc settings. Note, I'm on Telus so yours will be different.

I'm going to go see if I can find the t-mo settings and I'll be back just so you can check yours to make sure they are correct.

Hey OP! I'm also on T-Mobile, running the same OS version. I've experienced the same sometimes and finally concluded that I was always seeing that option to download when I received an MMS (picture text) and I was on WiFi Calling. I used to click on "Download Now" and wait a while too but then I tried going out of the text window, switching over to 4G, and going back into that message. That solved it for me. I don't know if T-Mo has some issues redirecting a picture text through WiFi but that goes away when you're on their network, ideally 4G. Let me know if that helps!

Oh btw, I never experienced the number of the sender not showing. For me, it always shows under the text thread of the contact who was the sender, which is only possible of my phone received a number attached to the message.

I have this problem from time to time with leaks. Only way I know to fix was to reinstall the OS.I know you said you're running the official version but you could download the leak for that version and install it that way? It's quite simple actually if you don't know how

I would say you have a couple options.

    1. Double check with someone who has a t-mo Z10 to see what their mmsc settings are.

    2. Do a security wipe.

    3. Load a leak OS. The newest is 10.2.1.2947. I've been running it for a month or so and it is definitely the best OS I've had on my Z10.

If you haven't done it before, loading a new OS is super easy. Go to the OS sub-forum and do some reading to familiarize yourself with the procedure and then jump in and do it. You will be happy you did.
