Do you have a data plan ?
Id the BIS service activated ?
These point must be checked with your carrier.

Confirms what I was suggesting. Your have probably a plan that includes BBM (and maybe another IM like MS Live Messenger ?), but it does not allow data elsewhere. You have to check with your carrier.

P.S : but if you can connect to your wifi network, then you will be able to.

Drop them a call or see your customer area on their website ... sometimes BIS activation is nothing but a simple option.
