Has anyone purchased this lock for their house? I'm looking into getting one for mine right and wouldn't mind some feedback from people that own them already.
hmm, i saw another video(from 2011 i think) so i was guessing it was for sale already. doesn't look like it though. Yale isn't really new, they have been around since 1840. but they are new with this sort of stuff so i would see why a person would opt for the keypad model.
I'll have to do some looking into this. I'd like to wait it out and see the NFC model, but it would be early in its existence so the likely hood of it being buggy is pretty high.
I love keyboard entry. Makes things a lot simpler then pulling out your keys. Once they have been out a few years, and are proven I will definitly be buying one with NFC

Touchscreen interface on an exposed piece of tech? Could mean trouble depending on what your climate is like.
Keypad backup is always a better option. You would only use the keypad if you had an issue with NFC, and if the keyboard was malfunctioning, then you would use your key in the cylinder. Honestly, residential models do have some issues, but industrial/commercial stuff never dies (costs a lot more)
There are NFC enabled locks from many manufacturers.

As long as it is wi-fi enabled, it can be upgrade easily. Maybe they can use BB10 as the OS.
