    110% for sure.
Lots of Android apps already run on BB10. It has been estimated that about 65-70% of all Android Apps can be repackaged and signed and run directly on BB10.

So, what would happen if BlackBerry signed an agreement with Google to have Google Maps and Google Play on the phone?
First of all, they have to make the Android runtime 100% compatible and unrestricted. Users would get access to all needed apps which could boost sales significantly.

Secondly BlackBerry would loose any revenue from BB World for each app downloaded through Google Play.

I am very sure they have considered this, but they definitively settled for "we can make our own" and failed.

IMHO this could be one way out of their app gap problem. But it has a price..

No, because I'd rather have native BB10 apps. If I wanted an Android device, I would buy one.

There is nothing like BB10 native apps/games. So the answer is no Cascades is the way to go!

If it was running Android and was a compelling product (competitive specs for an Android device), yes I would buy it.

I don't want it on my Z10 though.

Would I? Eh...maybe, because I love the OS but can't stand the lack of apps. Would others? No. They would just buy an Android. Even if BlackBerry could do this, it would be a wasted effort IMO.

No, because then all native Cascades application development would pretty much cease, and we would all be stuck running crappy Android ports instead of beyoooootiful Cascades.

If someone somehow got it to work on BlackBerry 10 and it was not condoned by BlackBerry Inc, then sure, because it would not have the same consequences as if it was official.

Is it possible to have an os 10 persona for work and Android for personal? Two OS's one device. Technically is that feasible?

That is more or less the case now. The thing is:
Only your besadmin can install apps in the work space. The apps have to be native BB10 (probably due to security concerns).
You (the user) can install both native and ported Android apps in the personal space.

So you idea would be quite simple to implement. I don't see why BlackBerry should limit the users of being able to install native apps in the personal space though - except for the fact that it would be a bit silly to have both Google Play and BlackBerry World appstore.

They key question is: Is BlackBerry willing to loose revenue from their app store, by opening up for Google Play?
