Will either of these work with the 8900 on T-Mobile? They mention many BB models, but not the 8900 or any T-Mobile device specifically.

The CTR350 Mobile Broadband Travel Router is a full-featured wireless 802.11b/g router ...
This one will do the job, the other one is a 802.11n spec and will not work correctly with BlackBerry.

However, MSP $149.94? You can get a Linksys Router and a Repeater for less then that.

I'd be using it to make a network from my BB's internet connection, not to connect my BB to the network.

You're going to run a network of computers on a tethered connection?

Yes, not computers but all my wifi gadgets when I go on vacation and in the car.

Just trying to piece it together. So the WiFi signal would come IN via the Berry, out to the router via a cable and then out to whatever else that needs WiFi? Is that it?

No. I would plug my BB into one of the routers mentioned above, it would take my BB internet connection, then it would make a wireless network that is connected to the Internet via my BB's data plan. (T-Mobile has free tethering)

Ok so cell data instead of WiFi... Only issues I currently see putting together a cable from the berry to the router. Haven't seen them but I'd imagine it could be done. Secondly would the router recognize the signal? If it did you certainly don't need an N router, you're not gonna get those speeds on your Berry via cell data. A basic B/G is all you'd need, probably still more than necessary. You've got my interest piqued as I love trying to connect new things like this.

If those routers work with the 8900, I'd be plugging my my 8900 in the router via USB, it would use my data plan on my BB to in turn make a WiFi network that I can connect my other gadgets and my laptop too. This would be very nice for in the car and when I go on vacation this summer. It would also save me money because I wouldn't have to get an aircard from Sprint of Verizon.

Yeah, I wouldn't even be considering those routers if tethering wasn't free.
