Not sure about Tmobile but ATT charges DATA while you use wifi. I also have a Pearl 8120. I was a little upset by this because I feel that I am already using internet connections so why should the data be added...I don't know, maybe I just don't understand enough about this whole BB thing. I am getting it little by little thanks to this site!

    My experience on TMO...

Ok, If I use Wifi and use the browser will i get charged?
I setup our Curves via the How-To and don't get charged for browsing the web via wifi on TMO.

If I use Wifi and text someone will i get charged?
I'm not too sure, since i have the family texting plan, but it seems you would get charged since it's different than wifi, plus you wont be able to stop getting texts back when you're not on wifi.

Am i allowed to download from the browser while connected via wifi for free?
Yup, just use the How-To and you'll be fine.

Can i use the Facebook and/or Myspace app for free via Wifi?
Nope, currently there is no wifi mode and it requires the data package for them to work.

Will I be charged for any of these services or is it all free when using wifi? ty
Wont be charged because you wont be able to use them.

That's correct. Wi-Fi (data) is a completely different service than SMS/MMS. Texts messages (SMS) are separate and will be charged upon incoming and outgoing, regardless of your internet connection. BlackBerrys without data plans and without Wi-Fi still have texting capabilities because they are sent over the same network that calls are sent over. That is why if you want to use texting, you have to purchase a separate texting plan or pay individually for each text.
