I have looked around online and on these forums for quite a while and I have not been able to find a solution to my problem.

I recently purchased a BlackBerry Curve 8320 from AT&T with a new plan (including the 30/month BlackBerry internet service). As a student, I live and work in a college with campus-wide WiFi, so I decided to give the SIM card to my salary-earning brother, while taking his current SIM (no internet plan) in order to save money. Now that I am back on campus the WiFi does not seem to work and I receive an "Unable to obtain IP Address" message (or words to that effect) when I try to connect. When I open a browser, it goes through Edge. I just want to be able to check my email via WiFi without burning cash on a data plan, and possibly go online. How would I go about this (even if it means unlocking the phone)? Thanks!
