I updated to the leaked 7.1 OS a few weeks ago, no issues and it has worked great. However....

Over the last week or so I keep noticing that wifi has switched itself on. I am unsure if this is a bug or some sort or some kind of auto connection that I am unaware of?

    Anybody else seen this?

Yes. But it turned out to be a 3rd party app, Fixmo Tools' Conserve WiFi. This is because it (same as the Smart WiFi app) uses cell tower ID for turning on/off WiFi. Once it learns which cell towers are being used at the same time you use WiFi, when that cell tower is reached, it'll turn on the WiFi. You can turn off the WiFi in Manage Connections but, if still within reach of a "saved" cell tower, the app will turn it back on. I hade to delete the 3rd party app.

What's strange, though... I had the same app on my 9700 & 9780 but only ran in to this on my 9900.

Are you using the mobile hotspot feature? When you've used it, and turned the mobile hotspot off, wi-fi remains turned on.
