I'm only posting this because I did not see a complete answer but pieced this together from many answers already on Crackberry.com

    Phone: Blackberry Bold 9700
    Router: Linksys WRT54TG2 v1.1
    Security: WPA2

Here are the things I learned that may help someone else setup their wireless manually without a fuss:
Tried using the "enter pin provided by blackberry into router" - no dice
Tried using the "push button setup" - no dice
Tried using the "manual setup" - after several tries and searches...dice

    Use the manual setup
Enter your SSID (sadly this was my problem, SSID IS CASE SENSATIVE!)
Security type: Pre-shared key or PSK (this works for WPA and WPA2 since there is no WPAx option)
Enter password: This is the same as the "passphrase" from your router
    Donezo!

So simple, but it took me an hour of searching to find several threads that each contained one small detail to piece it all together, hope it helps some other newbies.

Well I had the same problem with my router I use wpa2 security and just put my phone on wpa2 psk and as passkey I put my wireless key. To make the phone connect faster run your browser and have it go to a webpage and it should connect automatically
