Been discussed before. Won't work on a BB as there's no OS APIs/Drivers for it to work with. Would work on a WinMo device though.

My Storm's got WiFi. You must have one of the older models from Mexico or Canada. I didn't even have to buy a data plan.

No joke! It's also got an extra button that shoots out one of those little boomerang type things with a cord attached. Lets me get to the top of skyscrapers without having to ride the elevator. Probably to get to the best WiFi spots a little quicker. My wife said a guy in a black cape with bat ears dropped the phone off at my door and then...disappeared.

I know the storm is not supposed to have wifi, but I did find something interesting in mine with the 5.0.0.140 OS that was not there with 148. If you go into options> applications > and click on 5.0 core applications. Look at the modules listed. One of the first ones there is that says net_rim_api_wlan_hotspot. Any one know what that is about? Maybe I should start a new thread about this.

I agree jd, I am really happy with it for the most part. I know some have had issues but it runs great on my storm.

i run .148 pretty smoothly on mine right now. i downloaded 5.0 but havent installed it yet. is 5.0 really that much better to upgrade, or should i just stick with what i got?

Even though the Storm has a wifi capable processor, its been locked out using low level programming, meaning that an OS upgrade is not going to help (as nice as that would be).

Note that wifi sd cards have been around for a long time. I could've used one in my old HP iPaq except that it came with wireless b so it wasn't needed. As was stated before though, these are Win Mobile only.
