so i just got my bb from rogers today and i have 500 mb of data, im connected through wifi and not thru edge, the wifi and UMA are signalling in the corner of my screen. I have a question if im connected thru wifi UMA, will the data usage be off wifi or my 500 mb of data, for example browsing the web, bbming msn facebooking will that all take off my 500 mb or will it be free cus im connected to wifi?
Its free. Your 500Mb is for mobile browsing. When you're conected to WiFi your data is going through your internet connection. That doesn't mean that your phone calls are free though. Rogers has a service called talkspot that allows you to make free phone calls using your existing internet connection but it costs extra. 10 bucks for local and 15 for unlimited long distance.
