I recently started using WiFi on my Curve 8530. My home wifi was the first I connected to, and it works fine: connects automatically and all that. However, I cannot connect to any other Wifi networks, not my school's free wifi, not my gfs wifi, no other network will connect. All I get is a - where there should be a check and a greyed out wifi icon. Also, the name of the system I am trying to connect to shows up on my home screen like it is connected. I am not very tech savvy, any help is appreciated.
Delete the locations you have the device remember to connect to. Then remove the battery while the device is ON, wait a minute and replace. Now try to connnect to Wi-Fi...
Sometimes it takes a while for your phone to connect to a new hotspot. Sometimes, it won't connect to the internet after connecting to WiFi for a few minutes. So just wait and see what happens.
