    Okay, so my upgrade is coming up really soon.... What is all the hype about wifi? Im pretty good with blackberry's but this i just dont understand fully.

    im right there with you...from what i gather from others...wifi is supposed to be faster...i have an itough 2g and it uses wifi...i honestly do not see the difference between that and my curve as far as speed

    The main difference for folks who have CDMA carriers with good coverage is that you can do simultaneous voice and data if you have Wi-Fi connected. Otherwise, you cannot look something up on the Web while you are on a phone call. Your phone call will use VZW's network, and your data will use the Wi-Fi if you are connected at home or at a hot spot.

    Quality of service is the primary benifit.

    When you have a Wifi connection and carrier support for UMA, voice and data will use the broadband connection to supplement the carrier network.

    Much faster data and superior call quality.
