So I got my new curve and quite happy so far.
I have some open wifi connections in my apartment from neighbors, I can connect to them from my laptop, but for the crackberry signal is too low. Laptop can connect and have internet from the networks that crackberry barely see.
Is it normal that 8320 has way lower reception compared to laptop?
    Thanks.

I would take a guess and say 'Yes'

The Curve has a much smaller WiFi receiver than your laptop does. My Curve always gets great reception from my WiFi... and I can go out in the parking lot of my apartment really far from the router and remain connected!!

At home, I can go out into the lawn, etc and be connected!!

Check out more of the WiFi forum to get acquainted with your Curve better

    Thanks.

"The Curve has a much smaller WiFi receiver than your laptop does. " makes sense, my pcmcia wifi card is almost bigger than my whole 8320
