Connections / Wifi Options. Menu / Wifi Diagnostics.
This will provide you with further information about your connections and the reason it has failed.
I suspect the reason will reflect the absence of an IP address.
Troubleshooting is much simpler is you own the Wifi router you are attempting to connect too. If that is the case, reset the router to factory defaults and attempt the connection.
If it succeeds, it is usually a simple matter to reintroduce security to both the router and your BlackBerry.
If you do no have access to the router, it will be more challenging to make the connection. You may need to register your MAC address with the owner before service is established.11-14-09 09:40 AMLike 0
