Pros for me:
Security
Privacy
Communication
UI is perfect for how I use a smartphone
I don't always follow the masses
I support Canadian businesses whenever possible.

The cons:
Poor battery life on my Z10 when using Android apps that aren't available natively.
No docking station charger
No horizontal home screen (yet)

Money was a non-criteria. Having the best of technologies was among the main criteria of a long list, which not only continues but expands with time. Price/quality of iPhone older OS was a strong turn-of, I have need for strong productivity and secure tools as only BB can provide are a major plus. Different strokes for different folks, if I need a hype machine for games and a girly phone I'll buy it as a separate from my BB - I don't like lame machines justified mainly by marketing side-truths and I can easily afford it. I deserve the best.

For the all touch it's the OS. If HTC M8 came with BB10 10.2.1. then I'd probably buy it. For the qwerty I guess it's the keyboard, but can't tell as I don't like the qwery concept on a phone. Why do you ask?/ what answer were you hoping to get?

Because Obama and Merkel use it.
Seriously I had tried Android and iOS both did not cut it for my use case. Blackberry 10 is best suited for the things I do on a daily basis and makes me save precious time every day.
The real question is wherther you really need a Blackberry ? not everyone needs a ferrari or a mercedes.

Lol if Obama using one was BlackBerry saving grace I wouldn't have one. I have a BlackBerry despite the fact Obama likes them lol

They were the most hardware for the least amount of money at the time. I do not regret the decision as both my BB's are working great.

Not bashing the competitors but BlackBerry phones do specifically want I want done and they offer more customizations, access and control. I compare it to driving manual instead of automatic. I don't want to be spoon fed, I want to hold the spoon.
