Ya you have to get used to a lot of BS in bb10 but once you do, it's fair sailing from there.

For most things that require an email address you can just press the space bar when the @ would be in the email address and it will auto-populate. Press the space bar a second time and you'll get the dot for the domain.

You know you can swipe down on the keyboard type your @ and the keyboard returns to the primary qwerty keys automatically, right?

Reminder: To reach the secondary keyboard screens do a swipe down on the main keyboard. It will switch to the 2nd keyboard. A 2nd swipe will take you to the 3rd keyboard. When you tap a key after swiping like this, it automatically reverts back to the main keyboard. It's really only one additional swipe down to get to it. As someone who doesn't frequently use it, I'm glad it isn't taking precious space on the main one.

Also, for most email fields, the comma in the keyboard is replaced with an @.

    At least for me.

To be fair, especially when it comes to apps, developers could do a better job coding the type of data field it is. If you notice, certain fields that are number-only entries (like phone numbers) will default you to the number keypad, and others can be coded as email fields and so on. On a virtual keyboard, that should force the @ sign to display.

Hey, thanks for the swipe down tip on the keyboard. I would also like to see a (.com) key added to the keyboard like Google has already. This key saves allot of time when composing emails.

Predictive text should take good care of that man. After you enter a few URLs you should start seeing your .com appearing as you type them. Embrace the swipe/flick up to type. It's different but once you get used to it can be very fast and efficient. By the way you can also swipe to left on the keyboard to erase one word, swipe with two fingers to erase two words and so on... Saves a lot of time. Too bad all of this stuff is hidden from the majority of users. I guess it would have been too much information for the average user to grasp all at once if they listed all of the cool stuff you can do with the phone.

Have you seen the people that complained about no trackpad? Change the Keyboard and they will storm Waterloo, all 100 of them. BlackBerry is catering now to the squeaky wheel, and the thousands of sales that will generate.

I do not think this is BlackBerry's doing...I think it has to do with the field on the website not being an actual "email field" on some sites so the keyboard doesn't know if you are in one or not. Just my personal opinion

I am not sure what all the ruckus is all about. You can easily add the "@" symbol as an add on in predictive text. Such as replacing "aa" with the "@" sign.
