Design change in Android (4.2 AFAIK) .

BlackBerry could alter the design, but it could cause problems because Android developers expect either to get all the requested permissions or not having the apps installed at all.

Do you mean 'JavaScript' - (and the inability to enable or disable it in the BB10 browser), or Java - the programming language?

I think the OP meant in the browser, since that's what's mentioned in the actual post.
I've wondered that too. No way to turn off Java script off in the browser. You could in the legacy OS, and in any other browser.

Then it's a good question.
Maybe the title could be edited unless it's been discussed at length elsewhere.
What's to stop the owner of a bad web page from writing an invisible screen filling button, which will redirect me to an even worse page when I next touch the screen?
