Notice how every negative piece of information on BlackBerry is reported by all news outlets. A record breaking release of BBM, and crickets.

Ok, I jumped then. My bad. I looked at several of the sites I typically go to that always cover BlackBerry and did not see anything.

GOOD to hear some sites are picking it. up.

It seems to me there's only one question left: does the OP disappear from the thread, never to return or acknowledge the craziness of the original post, or does he/she/it return to mount a feeble defense of the bizarre original post. Place your bets, people.
    Uncalled for.

In all fairness to you OP, I didn't come across anything in MY sites either - e.g. ZDNet, Computerworld etc. Good to see it was covered elsewhere...

Not at all. My experience with threads like this is that the OP rarely acknowledges the original post was erroneous. To your credit, you're an exception.

Rest assure it'll never be as big as 10-year old fingerprint technology or the ability to hover your finger over the touchscreen and make a selection. It's a wonder what people value these days.

If you care to share links to the sites that you mentioned, I'm sure the CrackBerry Nation would be happy to post some propaganda in their forums. Maybe they'll get the hint then... Just sayin'

Should a 7 year old service, which is really just a form of instant messenger (itself older than the internet) get more airtime than "10-year old fingerprint tech"? I guess it did, when one considers that it got a media flurry 3 times...once when announced, again when it failed at the end of summer, and yet again this week. I stand corrected.

Yes, that was uncalled for. But typical. I think an apology is in order. A guy (or gal, gotta stop making gender assumptions) comes to post what he has seen, or not seen, and he gets an oh so subtle attack.

Thanks op and thanks AG for posting those articles. I myself went to my usual news sites today wanting to read about it, and only came across one article in my USA Today app that only stated it was released, and then talked about how the company was in trouble. It's obvious that there have been an amazing amount of downloads and I wanted to see how it was being reported. Now here's some articles I can go read.

ah im sure that`ll change when they see the review stats.

to clarify my position, here are the stats for itunes currently:
    5 star - 965
    4 star - 234
    3 star - 249
    2 star - 232
    1 star - 1056
    Overall - 3 star.

    and for Google Play:
    5 star - 71,703
    4 star - 11,533
    3 star - 5,813
    2 star - 2,755
    1 star - 12,963
    Overall - 4.2 star

This has mainly been caused by the whole waiting list. good or bad idea, customers arent liking it.
