So why are there still Porsche design BlackBerrys being made when the marketing and operational strategy for BB10 is to pay sponsorship money to and have a technical partnership with the Mercedes AMG F1 team?

It's another example of how disjointed the strategies of BlackBerry's management team were in 2013.

I think It's because BlackBerry has an arrangement with the Porsche design chain 'store'. So they are basically enter into an arrangement with a chain store. Not a car brand.

I don't think Mercedes Benz AMG has its chain stores to sell exclusive merchandise or not as extensive as Porsche Design stores.

Wake up. Porsche Design is not Porsche cars. Porsche Design does sunglasses, jewelry, cell phones, etc. The two should not be confused, much less co-mingled.

You wake up. Mercedes AMG F1 is not Mercedes AMG road cars. The F1 team make nearly all of what you listed too as merchandise and sell it all over the world to racing fans, most of whom spend a lot of money on their favourite sport each year, except they don't make a mobile phone.

See the obvious gap that BlackBerry could have filled?

Porsche Design makes a tons of other stuff. I don't think Mercedes AMG makes anything other than AMG-tuned Mercedes.

Porsche Design makes watches, pens, etc., and have their own retail stores. I'm not aware of anything by Mercedes AMG like this..
