I'm not saying it's perfect, but I've had no problems using it. What are the main issues about it that cause so many people to advise against installing it with DM? I've seen comments about rogue indexing activities and unnecessary complexity, etc.

I really have no vested interest either way...just curious I guess.

It is slow, but for me I install it with it so I can basically just drag and drop what I want on and off of my phone.

There's other apps that provide better compression with higher quality, and for music files, it's easier to drag and drop in Mass Storage mode.

    Did anyone mention it's slow?

Umm, Roxio is a p.o.s! The program is slow, it freezes every time I try to use it, and all in all it is basically a waste of space. It is much much easier to turn on mass storage mode, and drag'n'drop into the appropriate folders!

It is so slow.. When I first got my BB, I installed it, and it literally took me 25 minutes to get one song on my BB, it lags like no other. I've been using my usb plug-in for my media card ever since. Its a pain to pull out the battery and get the media card everytime I wanna put something on it, but its better then waiting for that slow program they call Roxio

I plain old just don't like Roxio.

Everything I've used of theirs in the past doesn't do the function I need it to do, or does it in way so superlatively opposite of how I expect it to be done [fast|intelligent|etc] it isn't worth the effort or aggrivation.

I mean it's so ingrained in to me, I can't even stand their logo.

I'd rather hook up the SD card to a telegraph machine, or even an abacus and attempt to send bits to the card that way, and I'm sure it'll be faster than using Roxio anything... inclusive of the time to learn the abacus or Morse code.

I agree with D&D for music and pix but what about video?

Is the 'optimise for your BlackBerry' feature in Roxio worth anything?

I used it because I assumed it would resize to the right resolution??

But then it seems I need another app to remove copy protection for some of the video files SWIM wants on my Berry...

    Thoughts?
