Have you tried testing the phone to se if there is any problem in bbve on the phone

It sounds like your microphone isn't working. The two most common reasons for mic failure are:

• water/moisture
• metal particles

Normally this requires replacement of the microphone.

What phone do you have? There was a thread about the microphone on the z30 not working. This happened to my wife's phone. The only way she could be heard was to use the speaker phone other wise it didn't work.

Try to speak through the hands free, the mic earphones or bbm. If it works now, it's a software failure and probably requires a factory wipe or even autoloader.
