I've never had that happen to me. But then again, I've never visited porn sites or toy stores or adult video stores or such so I would not have been sought out as a target.pantlesspenguin and jakie55 like this.12-03-12 03:41 AMLike 2 - 12-03-12 05:34 AMLike 0

- No matter if the app adds anything of value to any specific user, if apps like Instagram aren't available on BB10, it will just be more ammunition for the media to berate BB10.
The more major apps that are available on BB10 from the initial release, the better the chance for success, and the possibility of the press giving a better review.12-03-12 08:08 AMLike 0 - ive never seen a real reason to want instagram. i buy phones with good cameras to what? take a good pic and blur it with filters. i have an instagram acct on my ipod but in all honesty if they post it to instagram they post it to facrbook and twitter as well. why would i want to see the same pic 3 times?
i just dont see the benefit in either switching devices or complaining about not having it.12-03-12 09:11 AMLike 0 - ive never seen a real reason to want instagram. i buy phones with good cameras to what? take a good pic and blur it with filters. i have an instagram acct on my ipod but in all honesty if they post it to instagram they post it to facrbook and twitter as well. why would i want to see the same pic 3 times?

Again, the logic is very simple and clear: Every missing app is a reason for people to choose a different platform. An app can be considered "missing" if it's on other platforms but not on BB10.12-03-12 10:09 AMLike 5 - I know many people who switched to iPhone just for Instagram (before Android got it) and emojis. Even the Blackberry Queen, (no matter how much you may hate her ) Kim K. carries a Blackberry AND iPhone just for Instagram
Not having Instagram these days is like not being able to tweet from your phone. Whether you use those social networks are not its just unacceptable.
But on the other hand, Windows phones don't have Instagram either and no one says a word. Whats up with that?12-03-12 10:15 AMLike 0 - I know many people who switched to iPhone just for Instagram (before Android got it) and emojis. But millions of people do care, and some of those people will care enough to choose a platform that has it.

THAT is an apologist. Since someone recently questioned my English comprehension, I offer a definition of the word "apologist."
apologist - definition of apologist by the Free Online Dictionary, Thesaurus and Encyclopedia.
Prefer not to use the app all you want, that's neither here nor there to me. But to find fault with the availability or the use of it by those who do like it is taking a weakness and turning it into a desirable attribute.
And kindly show me where I called anyone a troll. Do NOT put words in my mouth to support an indefensible argument. That shows the weakness in your position that CHOICE is not desirable. Don't like it, don't use it. But don't deny ME the right to have it available. Or, in its absence, I will simply do what I did and contribute to Apple's and Samsung's margins of profit and increase in marketshare by repeatedly going to them for products and for the apps they do have.
And to Belfast, whom you've quoted and whose posts I don't see unless quoted....yes, I used to be a blackberry apologist, until I opened my eyes, developed an open mind, and discovered that those platforms that I used to malign all have features I now value and use. Such as Instagram.
In other words, I opened my mind, educated myself, and removed the fanboi - or fangirl - blinders.
Amazing the big world there is out there when you open your mind to possibilities.
Your comments have, very much solidifed the main point of my post though. like you have said multiple times, its all about `ME` (i.e the end user) and we are all very different from each other, so while something may be good to one person it may be useless to the next. just because one person holds something in high regard doesnt mean any other person should have to unless it suits their particular needs, and they should need to be told by anyone that it should. As you elude ot, its about choice, which means theres more than one way you can go.
As for the `opened your mind` comments, and `removed the fangirl blinders`, now im not saying this myself, but its totally concieveable that any other user on here could see you as a fangirl user for your current platform, as you dont own a BB yet are so actively outspoken in these forums. Like i say, not my view really, but one people could hold, and id say calling people `blackberry apologists` probably does little to help in that case.
Lastly, the arguement isnt indefensible, the original question of the thread was `who needs instagram` and the actual reality is nobody. look at it this way, `instagram is a social network` well so is facebook, google+ and twitter and myspace, i could go on, you dont `need` another (or i guess any in reality), chosing to use something doesnt mean you actually need it. then the other point of `instagram is a photo editing app` well there are multiple editing apps across multiple platforms (including BlackBerry) so again, it comes down to chosing what is best for you, not what your told is best for you by someone else.12-03-12 12:56 PMLike 0 - ive never seen a real reason to want instagram. i buy phones with good cameras to what? take a good pic and blur it with filters. i have an instagram acct on my ipod but in all honesty if they post it to instagram they post it to facrbook and twitter as well. why would i want to see the same pic 3 times?

You've missed the 80 million users who have unloaded 4 billion photos???
Interesting.
I wonder how many users Photo Studio has.
80 million BB subscribers minus those on restrictive BES accounts minus those in this thread who don't want it? would you say that's comparable numbers?
