If BlackBerry has decided to build QNX on a cross platform approach, then why can't BB10 follow a similar approach?

    BB10 as a cross-platform OS or ??

BB10 already runs Android apps (albeit with minor tweaking) and also accepts Qt apps.

QNX is implementing the Android runtime player that BlackBerry 10 uses, nothing more than that...

I am not sure if it's the same...it says it runs as a sand boxed environment within QNX plus QNX also supports IOS Apps...
Anyways I hope they truly have a plan B to roll out BB10 as dual OS.

Android Runtime in BB10 is a sandboxed enviroment

Cascades is written primarily in Qt Language

QNX supports iOS apps because they use objective-C based code C/C#/C++, so there fore a few minor tweaks from iOS platform code and you have a compatible QNX/BB10 app.
