Default Whatsapp not working through WIFI

    Hello,

A friend of mine has a blackberry curve 8520 and she wants to use whatsapp with it but it doesn't work.
She has no bis and i was wondering if there are any options to make it work without bis.

    Kind regards,
    Koen

just use SMS, its the same thing without the looks

    Post Yes, indeed you can

Whatsapp for Blackberry will not work on regular Wifi/Wap, but it requires you to have a full BIS connection. But there is a trick to make it works, by tunneling all data transmission via wifi/wap, i try the trick and it works perfect, read it yourself at:

I have whatsapp working on a Curve 3G with *NO* BIS access at all (I have no credit, and no BIS bolt-on enabled on the account)

Whatsapp works just fine over Wifi only.

You may need to delete your service books in order to get it working. My default browser, app world and all other non tunneled services work fine on wifi only. BBM and the link will *not* work without a BI/ES plan.
