A lot of use carry more than one device, usually a blackberry and another brand of smartphone. Personally I use a BlackBerry Q10 and an android phone. If you use more than one device what are they and why?

Why do u need two BlackBerry phones? , what I mean is that the reason that I use android is to get Google maps and other applications that are not available on BlackBerry world or I have to pay for them

I use an iphone5 for my primary device. The q10 for secondary. I have to use the iphone5 primarily due to the personal and professional apps I use daily. Contrary to statements on these forums, the iphone is not a toy. My q10 is actually my toy. Also, the iphone5 browser is fast and perfect. The q10 browser spins and spins...

I have an iPod shuffle to listen to music, a Surface RT tablet for portable media consumption, a Kindle reader for reading, a HP desktop computer for doing office work. I only have one smartphone, the Q10, why would I need another smartphone?

Iphone 5 is my primary and Q10 is my secondary. Sitting next to a guy on the plane getting ready to leave JFK for the west coast and the guy next to me has an iphone 5 and a Bold. I see it a lot actually.

So you don't have to carry a Kindle and an iPod touch? Actually if I had only one phone it would be the iphone without doubt. I find it much more capable.

Right now my primary device is the Sony Xperia Z, and I have a backup 9700.

In a few months, I'm probably going to have an LG G2 and the BlackBerry Z30 as my secondary device.

Am not a die hard blackberry user, I have a blackberry and am happy with it. And maybe your right, you might not find that question in the apple forums, but I bet you will find "what's the brand of your secondary battery pack your using".

I use the iPod at work (Construction), no need then to run down the battery on the BB, or have it destroyed being strapped to me. And on the Kindle, the paperwhite screen is the best for reading. I have music and a Kindle app on the Q10, I sometimes use the Q10 to play music on the car stereo, and because the Q10 is the only device I bring with me everywhere, I will read whatever current book I'm reading (through Kindle) if I have time to kill.

Currently my secondary device is the Z30 that I picked up a week ago essentially to replace my Playbook and to fart around with for awhile until it becomes my primary device. My primary right now is the Galaxy S4 for work, etc. Not bad but it's Android you know. I don't particularly care for Android. The Z30 still needs more refinements in the way of notifications and having a volume control for them. The only volume control I could find was for ring volume and I don't need notifications to be at the same sound level as the ring tone.

I have also had both the Z10 and Q10 this year for a few months. My Z10 got to be a little wonky for no apparent reason but I was able to sell it for a good price. The Q10 was good, great keyboard, but I missed the screen size for browsing. Pretty impressed with the Z30 as it's quick, the screen for me is a great size, no problems with resolution for my eyes and seems to be well built. I also had missed the Hub and navigation swipes that are not there on the S4. Also not that big in using the brand name apps so what is available now in BlackBerry World are fine for what I need. Big improvement in apps though compared to the beginning of the year.
