    Hi
Got my new blackberry bold last week and i then immediatly sought out some protection for it in the form of an invisibleSHIELD (works VERY well).

However i guess when people design these things they don't think about the damage that can occur when you give your mobile phone to you girlfriend to look after and she puts it in her handbag... along with a nail file

It has managed to scratch a small portion of the phone which isn't covered by the tough shield. There is a row of small fine scratches on the chrome plastic surrounding trim, thats stretches from just above the right hand side of the loudspeaker to just above the flashing LED.

Its tiny I know but its there so being the perfectionist I am, its driving me crazy!

I did a little research and heard of the applesauce product at applesaucepolish.com. has anybody tried this stuff on there 'berries?
It says it is designed to work on and ipod screen, surrounding plastic, and chrome backplate. It also says it works with most other gadgets except LCD screens...

Does anybody think this will work/knows it works/can suggest any other products that are known to work?
    Cheers,
    Patrick

I suspect the chrome finish is exactly that - silver paint on a plastic base. If the paint has been filed away you will never fix it by polishing, it will simply abrade away more paint to leave a smoother white or grey area.

I think the best solution is here: 9000 - Microsoft, Samsung, Accessories Store, LG, 3G, Acer, Alcatel, Mobiado, Nokia, NE

Thanks for the link! I'm glad I came across it here.

Along the lines of the post, is there anything out there that I can use on scratches on the screen?

Probbaly one of the screen protectors. I don't have direct experience of them but Best Skins Ever seems to be popular here and accessible through http://shop.crackberry.com/?utm_camp...medium=content There's a review on the forums too and description of applying the skin, but you'll have to search for it unless someone posts a link.
