I am BlackBerry, always have and always will be. I still keeping tabs on the other OS's out there though so I can bench mark where BlackBerry is headed.

With Android and Apple making substantial OS changes and Windows in the same building phase as BB10, which is your second favorite OS and why?

(I know BB10 is not everyone's choice and that's okay)

My second favorite phone OS is windows phone 8.1. It is still far from BB10 but it is still my second favorite. I will never use Apple for many reasons and I will never use Android because of the severe privacy issues.

I don't really have a second favourite. If I HAD to choose I might go Android, but I'd take a hard look at WP first.

Yes, WP is the only OS I don't know that much. Apparently their phones take nice pictures but that's about all I know (and they have a relevant ecosystem).

Apple is interesting right now. If you watched their last keynote speech it looks like they are opening up their OS a little (a little). They added at least 10 BlackBerry features. Errr.

I'll take a serious look at iOS when they bring in a native file manager and fully functional email, on par or better than BB10 integration and execution. Plus the ability to grab files on the Web. No iTunes for me. That and decent battery life.

Oh, someone mentioned file manager for iOS... ouch! Apple won't allow that any time soon, it would be the end of tight control within their ecosystem...

Need a decent file manager,... but even a basic one would do.

Windows Phone 8.1 finally got one...
It's the phone OS I'm most interested in after BB10, I just won't trust Android, and I find it boring, cluttered and unintuitive...

    EDIT:

Apparently there are a few file manager apps on iOS, but I have no chance to test or verify because I don't own a device or have one within reach...

? BlackBerry? I premdict the future's gonna be chenomenal! ?

My first love is Symbian and always will be!

But if I had to pick a second from what's currently available, it would be Windows Phone 8.1.

I use a Windows computer and tablet, as well as other Windows services such as Office 365, Outlook, and One Drive.

And contrary to what a lot of people are saying, I like Windows 8.1 a lot.
    - The tiles are actually quite useful, and Windows allows for tons of customization.
    - The integration between Windows PC and other Windows services are very good.

Of course, I am still choosing BlackBerry over Windows Phone but Windows Phone would be my solid second choice.

I hate Apple, Google, and Samsung all together.

Definitely Symbian. Man, do I miss the old Nokia phones. Such solid hardware and oodles of customization. Just like the 9900. Absolutely loved that phone. A total workhorse.

iOS is boring as I am using iPad.
Android is nothing but Google and I hate the dominance of Google.

I might like Firefox OS. It seems to me refreshing and different but faces the same App challenge like BB. With my experience of Firefox browser, I may like that and I should look for Web Apps.

(Just yesterday, I was deleting a bunch of Android apps downloaded from Amazon after comparing their web version through Z10 browser. So I concluded, if you mean strictly things get done, web apps are all you want. WordPress is one of them. But that is just me)

Second is Windows, first is Linux (any Debian based flavor, but specifically Ubuntu).

As for phones I've only used BBOS and BB10, so BBOS would be second.

IOS would be my second choice for an OS because I use Mac's in my business and the integration between the iPhone and my desktop and using Mavericks is excellent.

As far as IOS, call me a iSheep or what ever you want, but it's simple and it just works. The app ecosystem and customer support is second to none.

I am hoping with Blackberry blend, this will improve Blackberry's integration to the Mac desktop but only time will tell.

I really like OS10 with the Hub, Peek, file manager and excellent email system. I am looking forward to trying 10.3 and I will be buying a GSM version of the passport as soon as it's released.
