Hey guys! I am getting my first blackberry in about two weeks! I have wanted a blackberry for a long time now, but was unable to get one because I had to wait for my contract on my ****ty sidekick to expire. (Sorry for the profanity, I really hate that phone).

To give you a little background of who I am, I'm a 19 year old college student (female lol). I want reccomendations of what you think a good blackberry would be for me. I really like the pearls, but I am open to any other suggestions. I'm on T-mobile if that helps and I really love texting. I don't need the corporate email capacity seeing as I'm only a student haha. i just got my blackberry from a sidekick =D
its amazing!

get a Blackberry Curve Sunset like me, its this really nice bright red-orange color (more red than orange, its barely noticeable) and its great for a girl.

Both the Curve and Pearl are great phones
The Curve has a bigger screen, qwerty k/b

The Pearl has a smaller form factor and a much
better k/b IMHO (minority opinion I know)

Best advice, go to a TMo store and play with both
and see which you like best. But you really can't go
wrong whichever model you choose. Be sure to let
us know what you end up with

The Pearl is easier to hold and carry, but has a small screen.

If texting is your thing, then either device would be suffice. You will just have to get used to SureType on the Pearl in which its not hard at all once you give it a chance. With 4.5 on the Pearl, you will love it more (dictionary and predictive text is great)
