What phone are you replacing for a BB10?
I, personally, have finally realised what I REALLY want in a phone: user friendly keyboard with excellent auto-correct or suggestions, an excellent camera, and not too large a screen. I currently have a Nokia Lumia 900 and the keyboard drives me absolutely nuts. Auto-correct is crap and I'm nearly always having to delete the whole sentence as I realise that the phone isn't picking up on any words I'm trying to type. Previous to this phone, I had a Samsung Wave S8500. It's screen was too small and text I found really hard to read and found myself squinting even after zooming in as much as it allowed. Previous to that phone I had an LG Cookie. That phone was my first ever touch screen and was more of a novelty if anything. Now? I'm in love with the BB Z10 and can't wait to get my hands on it! After browsing all the leaks that have arisen from the internet, I've decided that the Z10 has everything I need and more. No more accidental pressing of buttons and no more text messages that look like gibberish.
I'm curious to know what you all are replacing for your next BB10

Z10 will be replacing my Bold 9930. However I had a Droid X before that and only switched to a 9930 to hold me over till BB10 was released. Yeah that was January 2012 though.
The predictive text sounds interesting. I'm sure Blackberry put extra time and care into the touchscreen keyboard as it is what they are known for.

I'll be giving up my iPhone 5. Had a Bold 9930 before that.

Well, I was gonna replace my 9930 with the full qwerty thats gonna be released.....but if the "renderings" or "leaked" photos are what is shown in the release i will REALLY be disappointed.....in my opinion it doesnt seem they put much effort into the phone, stretch out the screen a bit.....diff keys from an older version phone.....some of the photos makes it look plastic.....I will end up with a 10....but I really hope RIM has "something" up there proverbial sleeve.....I believe the 10 is gonna be as good or better than advertised....Not much longer and we will see......just my 2 cents......

Interesting that there's quite a few of you replacing your iPhone/iPhone 5's. The iPhone 5 was originally going to be my next phone until I heard about the new BB10 phones coming out. As I said in my original post, I need an excellent keyboard AND camera and from looking at comparisons on the net, the iPhone 5 beat the majority of it's competition, if only by subtle differences. Telekom Presse's video comparison between the Z10 and iPhone 5 seems to show the Z10 as having a clearer, more vibrant camera. I truly hope the Z10's camera has the one over the rest of its competition when it comes out. Looking forward to videos of unboxing and software and hardware testing in comparison with other phones in the competition, like the Lumia 920.

I was going to replace my 9900 but I broke the screen, then somehow killed it trying to replace the screen. I am using my temp phone (an htc sensation) until the London is launched.

Will be replacing one of my iPhone 5s.
all smartphones are tools.
android = 48pc tool set (you"ll eventually find the tool you need, but some assembly required)
iphone = swiss army knife (most of the tools you need in a small, simple to use package)
blackberry = adjustable wrench (sometimes all you need is a wrench)
windows phone = bionic wrench (its different....but it works) - 01-29-2013, 07:16 PM #16
"IF" Blackberry 10 is all that it's hyped to be I will be turning in my iphone 4S & that's pending playing around with seed device....
...And reading / watching a few critical reviews of the device.
...My 9930 was the last device I bought from RIM "on day one".A reluctant iPhone 4s user who would STILL be a Blackberry user had RIM not messed it's own bed by putting a "Fisher Price Camera" in it's "flagship" Blackberry Bold 9930. - 01-29-2013, 07:18 PM #17
I will be relegating my 9930 to a backup role, I'm sure I'll miss using it on a daily basis. I'll audition the qwerty and touch models to see which works best for me but I love the real keyboard so that's my likely choice.
Best,
Rob

my 9650, and if my company continues using BlackBerry, the QWERTY version will replace my currently beloved 9930... Unless they find a way to do dual phone numbers to a single phone....
